Trade to Decorator

Our vision, which included quality set construction, art direction, and photography, was instrumental in shifting our client’s product from a generic trade brand to a specified decorator resource, marking the first step in Porta Mouldings’ brand transformation.

The Challenge

Porta Mouldings, a trusted family owned brand of architectural mouldings needed to extend the brand from a builder specified product to a consumer fashion range.

The Approach

The brand phrase ‘We Know & Love Timber’ was the beginning of the process in establishing Porta as a lifestyle consumer brand.

Using a variety of Porta Mouldings as the feature item, we designed, built, and photographed a series of room sets showcasing different moulding designs. This approach highlighted the scope and ease of transforming any space, aiming to inspire and motivate renovators and decorators to consider Porta Mouldings.

The Outcome

The series of images featured in a range of advertisements in home decorator and renovator magazines, as well as online. This was the first step in transforming Porta products from a generic trade brand to a specialised resource for decorators.
